Celtic Dancers
Lillian C. Meier (1889-1965)
Born of Irish immigrant parents, Lillian Callanan Meier survived the 1906
earthquake. Irish Dancers in this vignette recall Lillian and her sister’s
Irish heritage. She married Fred Meier at Mission Dolores in San Francisco
in 1909. The Meiers moved to Sebastopol in 1919 where Fred began a 50 year
career with PG&E working at the Petaluma & Santa Rosa Railroad powerhouse,
now a historic Sebastopol building.
